ACCESSING BACK BAY STATION THROUGHOUT CONSTRUCTION:
Below please find a list of the potential future impacts on Back Bay Station that may occur during the Back Bay Concourse Station Renovation project. As the project advances and the construction schedule is finalized, the timing and details of these impacts will be posted here.
Please note that we are in Phase 1 of the project, and there are currently no impacts on the station or customers.
Future project impacts on Back Bay station may include:
Construction of a new bike cage outside the station. Access to the existing bike cage inside the station will be maintained throughout construction until the new one is available for use.
Access to the entrance and exit on Clarendon Street will be maintained throughout construction
Access to the Southwest entrance and exit off Dartmouth street will be maintained throughout construction.
The relocation of fare machines and commuter rail ticketing services for Amtrak to the central atrium of the station. Fare machines will be located immediately adjacent to gates leading to the orange line platforms. This relocation will improve the visibility and accessibility of ticketing services for riders.
